We Are All Liars
Not that long ago, I was having sex with a random girl that I met at a friend’s birthday party. While we were in the middle of the act, her phone rang, she answered it, and preceded to tell her boyfriend how she was at home and was about to go to sleep.
It was at that moment that I realized that cell phones have turned everyone of us into compulsive liars.
We lie all the time. We tell people that we’re around the corner when we’re still half an hour
away. We’re taking it easy when we’re really out in Vegas. We’re home sick when we’re really at the beach.
.
Because the truth is that with cellphones we literally have the feedom to carry on a conversation from anywhere in the world without the other person knowing our location.
So if this girl wanted to tell her boyfriend that she’s was at home, when she was really sleeping with another guy, well who am I to judge — I lie all the time.
