Stood Up

It’s a great time to be a single guy because the Internet and the advances in technology have changed the rules about dating.

Girls no longer play the shy and unassuming part. They know that guys want sex and so they’re ready to give it to them 24/7.

So they post naked pictures of themselves online, e-mail them to potential boyfriends, engage in text sex, and jump at the chance to shoot their very own Paris Hilton sex tape.

Which is why as a single 31-year-old I should be having the sexual time of my life and yet, I’m more confused than ever.

On one hand, since I’ve been single I’ve had a one night stand on an airplane, a two month text sex relationship with a random girl I met in Chicago, naked pictures e-mailed to me from a stripper I met in Vegas, video sex, and an offer for a three way , but only if I did it on camera.

And yet on the other hand, anytime I go out with a girl and I have the slightest feeling that I’m entering a relationship or going out with someone that could lead to a relationship, I immediatley end it.

It’s been over five months since my relationship of two years ended and no matter how hard I try, I just can’t move on. I’m stuck. And no amount of naked pictures will jumpstart me out of it. Because the truth is I just don’t want to open myself up and get hurt again.

So for all those attention whores out there who think that all guys want is sex, well, sometimes even that isn’t enough.
