Gay Marriage Saves Families

Remember when Senator Larry Craig went looking for some strange in a Minneapolis airport bathroom? Or when Reverend Ted Haggard got high on meth with a gay prostitute that he found on Craig’s List? Or even when Governor Jim McGreevy left his wife for his gay assistant?
Sure their scandalous downfall might have been entertaining for the general public, but the real victims were their families who were disgraced in the national spotlight.
Which is why when the California Supreme Court struck down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage and declared that gay couples have the fundamental right to marry it was a victory for families in general because the real truth is that gay marriage would strengthen and not weaken the institution of marriage.
I mean just think about it, if same sex marriage was legal across the country then ultra conservative right wing republicans like Senator Craig, might just accept that they’re gay and won’t form sham families that they’d wind up disgracing in public bathrooms.
