High Gas Prices Saves Lives
I have a cousin, he’s sixteen, he smokes way too much pot, and he just got his license. Within three weeks of passing his driver’s test he made an illegal u-turn into oncoming traffic and got t-boned by a black Mercedes. A week later he hit a UPS truck at a red light. And a day after that he crashed into his parent’s car while getting high in the driveway.
Amazingly he still has his license.
Amazingly he’s still alive.
16 thousand kids leave home every year and never come back. They die in car accidents. I saw it on an AllState commercial.
It makes me scared to drive. Scared to have kids. Scared for my cousin.
That’s why I’m thankful that gas prices are at record highs. He’s sixteen. He has no money. He can’t afford gas. Which means that he can’t drive. And if he can’t drive then he can’t get into an accident.
The roads are safer.
Stoned sixteen year olds everywhere can’t afford to plow through red lights and kill people.
High gas prices saves lives.
