A lot of things happened this week. The 2008 Beijing Olympics kicked off. Mariel Zagunis won the USA’s first gold medal in fencing. Comedian Bernie Mac passed away at the age of fifty from complications with pneumonia. And quarterback Bret Farve came out of retirement and officially became a member of the Jets.

But it’s John Edwards who gets this week’s 365 Award for admitting to having an affair with former Los Angeles party girl, Rielle Hunter.

Despite the fact that Mr. Edwards’s wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the time of the affair, he is rumored to have fathered a child with Ms. Hunter. In Edwards defense he claims that at the time he was filled with an egotistical belief that he was special.

Oh, John, you are special. You’re a new daddy.
