The Week

A lot of things happened this week. Stocks went up and then stocks went down. The government decided to bail out the economy. And then couldn’t agree on how to do it. Washington Mutual went under and then was purchased by JP Morgan Chase. John McCain thought that saving the economy was more important than debating Senator Obama. And then decided that the debate was more important. It’s been a week where we believed one thing and then the opposite happened. That’s why this week’s 365 Award goes to the USC Trojan Football team.

At the start of the week the Trojans were the number one ranked football team in the nation. After decimating the Ohio State Buckeyes it wasn’t a question of “if” the Trojans were going to be in the BCS Championship Game but “who” they were going to play. But in a shocking upset game that happened Thursday night, the number one ranked Trojans were defeated by unranked Oregon State.

The Trojan loss will dramatically affect the BCS Rankings. And considering that right now, I’m in Happy Vally, Pennsylvania about to watch the number 12 ranked Penn State team take on Illinois, I couldn’t be happier.

Go Lions!
