ABOUT
After a near fatal accident in which I was struck head-on by a van while riding my bicycle, I realized that nothing can be taken for granted, not even our thoughts.

“365″ is my humorous and sometimes cynical look at the world. As its name suggests each day for the next 365 days I will OBSERVE - THINK - REFLECT on one moment. And just as I post my daily observations, I encourage others to post theirs.

OBSERVE
Do you remember what you did on Wednesday three weeks ago? Probably not. But I bet you remember your last birthday. The presents you received. The people who called. Even the people who didn’t call. That’s because from birthdays to weddings we remember events, because they jar us from our everyday routines. But is that to say the rest of the time is insignificant? No. Each day is important. Each day, has meaning. And if we pay attention, and make daily observations, we’ll unlock the meaning.

THINK
No Observation is too small. Why do you sleep on the left side of the bed and not the right? Why do you hate birthdays, but love Christmas? Why are you a Republican and not a Democrat? By thinking through simple observations, it will lead to strength and independence of thought.

REFLECT
Chances are, there won’t be one observation that changes your life. There rarely are. But each observation is a building block. And when we take the time, to make observations, think our thoughts through, and then reflect, the building blocks enable us to discover a greater depth and meaning in our life. And from meaning we derive happiness.
