Born Liars
If you live in London, you’re wondering why I haven’t posted an observation today. From your perspective my website is a sham. After all you can’t have a site called 365 Observations and then just go ahead and miss a day. What level of commitment is that?
Of course, I’m eight hours behind. It’s six in the evening here. Two in the morning there. And nine at night in New York.
Which means that right now, if you had two babies born at the exact same moment but one was born in London, and the other was born in California, they’d be born on different days. One would be a day older than the other. One would be a Cancer and the other would be a Leo. Which makes no real sense because they were both born at the exact same moment in time. And yet, their entire perspective on the world could be dramatically different. And they shouldn’t be different. They should be the same.
Which means that birthdays are shams.
So call Doc Brown, there is a rip in the space-time continuum, the universal flux capacitor isn’t working. It’s the twilight zone for babies born after 6pm. They aren’t who they think they are. They aren’t who I think they are.
The world isn’t safe.
They’re all born liars.

This was so not about how awesome you think I am.
