Last month, a male resident at a nursing home in Denmark made an indecent sexual proposal to the member of the staff, so the home’s director Inger Marie Kristensen told the nurse to telephone for a prostitute.

The story quickly made national headlines, not because prostitution isn’t legal in Denmark (it is), but because there was a question as to whether it was appropriate for the nursing home to make the call to the prostitute in the first place.

All I know is the: it’s the American Dream to work hard and retire rich. But unfortunately no matter how much money you have, age will inevitably rob you of your dignity.

And on the list of things that I have to look forward to in my life, wearing adult diapers and having a 7-foot black man named Kareem roll me over and wipe my ass down with a wet disposable cloth is not one of them.

If I were able to still have sex when I’m 90, I would consider myself extremely lucky to wind up in an institution that cares so much as to accomadate my sexual needs.

Of course it’s not likely to happen in this country considering prostitution is illegal.
