Ethical Slut

July 4th weekend is a time for bbqs, fireworks, and good summer reading. And what better book for women to read while tanning at the beach than the Ethical Slut.

In most of the world, “slut” is a highly offensive term, used to describe a woman whose sexuality is voracious, indiscriminate, and shameful.

But according to the book, The Ethical Slut a slut shares her sexuality the way a philanthropist shares his money — because they have a lot to share, because it makes them happy to share it, because sharing makes the world a better place.

The book goes on to argue that women need to embrace the term slut as a positive and not a negative. Because by having sex with multiple partners in an open, honest, and loving way it will improve their current relationship by decreasing the level of jealousy and possessiveness.

So women this weekend, pick up the book, read it, and help make the world a better place.

  1. No.

  2. This book kicks ASS! I highly endorse it for anyone who is interested in exploring non-monogamy, as well as a book called “Opening Up” by Tristan Taormino. Both are full of invaluable information and insight.

I am an ethical slut and think every person has a kink or fetish and encourage everyone to work the kinks OUT.

I also think if women take charge of their sexuality they will be happier and then men will be happier as a result. The key is in the women.
