Minnesota hasn’t voted Republican since 1972. But it didn’t stop the Republican Party from choosing Minneapolis / St. Paul as the host city for their National Convention.

And maybe it’s because they want to show that the Democrats aren’t the party of change but it’s really the Republicans.

After all it’s the Republicans who chose a woman as their vice presidential candidate and not the Democrats. And it’s the Republicans who support Gay Rights. I mean didn’t Senator Larry Craig get caught seeking out sexual favors in a men’s bathroom?

Meanwhile the Democrats don’t even support the sanctity of marriage. Just ask Spitzer and Edwards who go cruising for hookers together.

The truth is Republicans make things happen. After all, they’re the ones who managed to convince the state of Minnesota to temporarily change the state drinking law so bars will stay open till four in the morning so that Republicans at the convention can drink all night.

I mean seriously, if that’s not change I don’t know what is.
