Where is the War?

Dear Senator McCain,

Last week, you said that you would rather lose an election campaign than lose a war. Where as your opponent Barack Obama would rather win a campaign and lose a war.

On the surface, I suppose I might agree with your statement only if you can tell me where the war is.

Is the war in Iraq where there are 170,000 troops stationed of which over 4 thousand have been killed and another 30 thousand have been wounded?

Or is the war in Afghanistan where there are nearly 30 thousand troops fighting? Or maybe it’s in Japan where there are 50 thousand troops stationed in Okinawa?

Or maybe Senator McCain you meant South Korea where there are an additional 30 thousand troops maintaining the demilitarized zone? Or were you talking about the 25 thousand troops stationed in the Philippines?

You see Senator, I’m an American, just like you. And it’s my duty as a patriotic citizen to support our troops, and the wars we wage. And as a citizen, I want to support this war. I really do. I just need you to tell me where it is.
