You Won’t Take Me Alive
After listening to Hilary Clinton’s speech last night, I was reminded of a great scene from the movie Braveheart where Mel Gibson is trying to get the warring Scottish clans to unite against the English army. They agree, and then when it’s time to go to war they betray him and leave him and his troops to die on the battlefield.
Hilary Clinton spent the last few months trying to convince voters that Barack Obama was not prepared to answer the phone at three in the morning. She spent the last few months proclaiming that Barack Obama doesn’t have the experience to lead this country.
And then last night, she stood on the podium and gave a speech that included all the reasons that she ran for president and then said by they way, vote for Barack Obama.
I don’t know about Hilary, but I do know that in Braveheart, after Mel Gibson nearly gets killed in battle, he hunts down everyone who betrayed him and sleighs them in their beds.
